CANDID contains Clotrimazole which belongs to the group of medicines called azole antifungal agents. It is indicated for the management of vaginal thrush in women. Vaginal thrush (also known as vaginal candidiasis) is a common fungal infection caused by the fungi, that lives harmlessly in the vagina. However, due to certain factors (e.g. hormonal changes), the natural pH balance that keeps the fungus under control may get disrupted and develops into an infection in the vagina and may spread to its surrounding area. Symptoms of thrush includes persistent itching and/or burning, redness, swelling and a white non−smelling discharge of vagina.
